It looks as though lightweight champion Anthony Pettis will no longer be the only Pettis in the UFC, as according to reports, his younger brother Sergio is headed to the promotion. The 20 year-old Pettis has gone 9-0 to date, since he turned professional in 2011, and was Resurrection Fighting Alliance’s flyweight champion.

News of the signing was reported first by Globo.com’s Combate, and according to his jiu-jitsu coach Daniel “Big Dog” Wanderley, Pettis will make his Octagon debut at UFC 167, November 16th. Pettis will move up to bantamweight for the bout.

On September 28th at a NAFC event in Milwaukee, Pettis tapped out James Porter with a first round, Kimura.

Sergio’s 26 year-old brother Anthony will look to defend the lightweight belt at UFC on FOX 9, on December 14th versus Josh Thomson.
