Stipe Miocic

Last night it was announced that UFC on FOX 13 will see Alistair Overeem take on Stefan Struve, and it looks like the December 20th card could feature another notable heavyweight tilt.

Junior dos Santos and Stipe Miocic were supposed to fight in May, and according to a report from “UFC Tonight’s” Ariel Helwani, the two will likely fight at UFC on FOX 13.

JDS (16-3), who withdrew from the May bout with Miocic due to a hand injury, hasn’t fought since he was stopped by Cain Velasquez last October. The former champ is 3-2 in his last 5 fights.

Miocic (12-1) ended up facing Fabio Maldonado in May and quickly stopped the vet. The only man to defeat Miocic to date is the aforementioned Struve.

UFC on FOX 13 will be hosted by the U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
