Report: Tito Ortiz Arrested on Suspicion of DUI
By FCF Staff
Former UFC light-heavyweight champ Tito Oriz was reportedly arrested in West Los Angeles early Monday morning, on suspicion of driving under-the-influence. The arrest occurred after Ortiz crashed his 2012 Porsche Panamera into a concrete, center meridian.
News of Ortiz’s arrest was passed along by KTLA 5, which cites the California Highway Patrol as its source. According to the report, there were two passengers in Ortiz’s car, however no one was injured in the accident. Multiple outlets have also confirmed the fighter’s arrest.
The 38 year-old fighter was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI without incident.
Ortiz hasn’t fought since June, 2012, when he lost by unanimous decision to Forrest Griffin. The decorated fighter was scheduled to fight “Rampage” Jackson at a Bellator event on November 6th, however a neck injured forced Ortiz to withdraw.
