Recently it was revealed that Alistair Overeem has decided to join the renowned Greg Jackson, Mike Winkeljohn camp in Albuquerque, and former opponent Travis Browne is reportedly happy about the addition.

Browne, who is preparing for an April 19th bout with Fabricio Werdum, knocked out Overeem at UFC FN 26 last August.

In a follow up report from MMA Junkie.com, here is some of what the Jackson’s MMA heavyweight had to say about Overeem joining the team:

“I actually embrace the idea,” Browne said. “When you have top athletes that are in the same weight class, sometimes they can butt heads, but the way I look at it is iron sharpening iron. If the stars ever align again and him and I meet in the cage, then it will be an even better fight than it was last time.”

Browne went on to knockout Josh Barnett after facing Overeem, and is currently ranked #3 in the UFC’s heavyweight division.

Overeem, meanwhile, is coming off a unanimous decision win over Frank Mir in February. The former Strikeforce champ is recovering from elbow surgery and has yet to book his next bout.
