Tim Gorman may have been forced to withdraw from the TUF 18 competition early on due to injury, but the bantamweight will reportedly still get a shot in the UFC as Dana White promised.

According to a report from FOX Sports.com, Gorman and Mitch Gagnon have verbally agreed to fight this April. A follow up report from MMA Fighting.com relays that the bout could take place April 16th, at the TUF Nations Finale in Quebec City.

Neither the fight or the card’s date and location have been announced by the UFC.

Gorman (8-2) won his opening round bout to make it into the TUF 18 house, however, a torn hamstring left him unable to continue. White was so impressed with the bantamweight, however, that he guaranteed Gorman a UFC bout when he was recovered.

Gagnon (10-2) is coming off back-to-back wins over Walel Watson and Dustin Kimura, after being submitted by Bryan Caraway at UFC 149 in 2012.

TUF Nations will feature competitors from Australia and Canada, and the teams will be coached by Kyle Noke and Patrick Cote respectively.
