Ronda Rousey continues to make the case for why she’s the biggest star in the sport. According to a report, UFC 190 may have had more pay-per-view buys than any other UFC event since 2013.
Rousey took on rival Bethe Correia at the August 1st event, and proceeded to stop the bantamweight in short order. According to a report from MMA Fighting.com, current estimates are that the card sold just over 900,000 PPV buys. That is more than other UFC card since UFC 168 in 2013, which featured Chris Weidman taking on Anderson Silva for a second time.
The numbers for UFC 190 speak volumes about Rousey’s drawing power, as the bantamweight champion was considered to be a massive favorite heading into the bout. UFC 190 took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Up next, Rousey is scheduled to fight Holly Holm on January 2nd at UFC 195.
