Initially it was predicted that the October 7th, UFC 216 card only sold slightly over 100,000 pay-per-view buys, but a new report says it moved much more than that.

According to veteran MMA journalist and the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer, UFC 216 is believed to have sold over 200,000 PPV buys after all (report via Bloody Elbow).

The Las Vegas event featured Tony Ferguson submitting Kevin Lee to become the interim lightweight champ, and Demetrious Johnson recording a record, 11th, title defense, by tapping out flyweight Ray Borg.

UFC 215 in September, however, is believed to have sold approximately 150,000 PPVs. Overall, PPV totals for the UFC are believed to be down considerably in 2017, compared to 2016.
