Although the prelim bouts for UFC Fight Night 128 reportedly struggled for viewers, the card drew quite well, overall.

The event took place last Saturday in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and features a lightweight bout between contenders Kevin Lee and Edson Barboza in the headliner. In the co-main, former lightweight champ Frankie Edgar battled fellow, 145 contender Cub Swanson.

According to a follow up report from MMA Fighting, UFC FN 128 averaged 956,000 viewers, which is 20% higher than the average for prime time, Fight Night cards last year. The report notes that the prelims only averaged 561,000 viewers, which is 12% lower than prelims for Fox Fight Night cards in 2017.

The prelims went up against NBA and NHL playoff games, however, as well as a NASCAR race.
