Although Benson Henderson has drawn solid numbers for FOX and FOX Sports in the past, the former lightweight champ’s latest main event reportedly averaged less than 700,000 viewers.

Henderson took on Rafael dos Anjos in the main event of UFC Fight Night 49 last Saturday, which was aired on FOX Sports 1. According to a follow up report from MMA Fighting.com, the August 23rd card averaged 689,000 viewers. Those are the third lowest ratings for a Saturday Fight Night card on the channel.

Henderson’s submission win over Rustam Khabilov at a UFC Fight Night in June, on the other hand, drew over 1,200,000 viewers for FS 1. UFC FN 49 featured Jordan Mein taking out Mike Pyle in the co-headliner, and at UFC FN 42, Diego Sanchez scored a controversial decision win over Ross Pearson.

The report also notes that the viewership for UFC FN 49 peaked at 962,000 viewers during Max Holloway’s stoppage win over Clay Collard. Not during the main event, which saw dos Anjos score a first round, TKO win over Henderson.

UFC FN 49 was hosted by the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
