It looks as though Reza Madadi’s submission win over Michael Johnson in April will be his last bout for sometime time, as according to reports, the lightweight has been sentenced to 18 months jail time for aggravated burglary.

News of Madadi’s sentence was reported by the Swedish outlet MMA NYTT.se first. The Iranian-Swedish fighter was charged after allegedly participating in robbery at a Stockholm handbag store. Madadi has until September 6th to appeal the verdict.

The 33 year-old fighter has gone 2-1 to date in the UFC. Prior to fighting Johnson, Madadi lost by split decision to Cristiano Marcello at UFC 153 last October, which broke his seven fight win streak.

Madadi picked up “Submission of the Night” and an extra $60,000 for his tapout win over Johnson.
