Report: UFC Vet Riki Fukuda Blames Cold Medicine For Failed Drug Test
By FCF Staff
Following Riki Fukuda’s recent release from the UFC, and the news the middleweight failed his post UFC on FUEL TV 8 drug test, the veteran is claiming that cold medicine he took his responsible for the results.
In response to his reported, positive test for the sitmulants phenylpropanolamine, norpseudoephedrine and ephedrine, Fukuda posted on Twitter that he forgot to declare that he took the cold medication.
The 32 year-old-fighter also thanked his fans for their support.
Fukuda (19-7) lost by unanimous decision to Brad Tavares at the March 3rd event, which took place at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan.
The UFC oversees the drug testing for it’s events in Japan.
The defeat came after the rugged Fukuda scored a UD win over Tom DeBlass in November.
