Report: UFC Vet Shane del Rosario Passes Away at 30

According to multiple reports, UFC veteran Shane del Rosario has passed away, nearly two weeks after the 30 year-old fighter suffered a full cardiac arrest.

The heavyweight’s teammate Ian McCall posted the following message on his Instragram account Monday night:

RIP to one of the best people I’ve ever had the honor to have in my life and call my best friend.@shanedelrosario helped me threw the toughest time in my life and helped me raise my daughter. Love you big fella.

Del Rosario had been hospitalized since the cardiac arrest occurred and the fighter was reportedly on life support for several days. Subsequent reports relayed that doctors believe del Rosario may have had a rare heart condition called Long QT Syndrome.

According to a report from MMA Mania, Monday afternoon, del Rosario died late Sunday night.

Full Contact Fighter would like to extend its sincerest condolences to del Rosario’s family, friends and loved ones.
