Tim Means has reached a settlement with USADA, which could see the welterweight return to the Octagon by the end of this summer.

According to multiple reports, USADA has retroactively suspended Means for six months, as a result of a positive test for ostarine this past February. Means denied ever knowingly taking the banned substance, and argued that a supplement he was taking must have been tainted.

In a follow up report from MMA Fighting.com today, USADA relayed that a supplement Means was taking did test positive for ostarine, even though it is not listed as an ingredient. As a result, Means has only been suspended for six months, instead of receiving a two year sentence for first time offenders.

Means was scheduled to fight Donald Cerrone in February. The 32 year-old fighter is coming off a KO win over John Howard in December, and is 4-1 in his last 5 fights.
