Report: UFC’s Valentina Shevchenko Present at Robbery Shootout in Peru, Coach Shot And Injured

According to a report, UFC bantamweight Valentina Shevchenko was recently caught in the middle of a robbery shootout in Peru. The decorated Muay Thai competitor was reportedly uninjured, however, her coach Pavel Fedotov was shot in the abdomen and has been hospitalized.

One of the robbers was reportedly shot and killed in the shootout.  Another customer was shot but is recovering. Fedotov was armed and reportedly opened fire on the robbers as they were fleeing. The report says the thieves assaulted several customers prior to the gunfight. Another customer was armed an opened fire on the robbers as well.

News of the incident, which took place in a restaurant, is being reported by El Comercio. Shevchenko, who lives in Peru, is scheduled to fight Holly Holm on July 23rd at UFC on FOX 20 in Chicago.
