According to reports, the UFC has added two pivotal bouts in its bantamweight and flyweight divisions for February, as verbal agreements are in place for Urijah Faber vs. Ivan Menjivar and Joseph Benavidez vs. Ian McCall.
Although the UFC has yet to make a formal announcement, a bantamweight bout between Faber and Menjivar will take place on February 23rd at UFC 157, according to MMA Junkie. UFC 157 will be hosted by the Honda Center in Anaheim.
Faber (26-6) will be looking to rebound from the unanimous decision loss he suffered versus interim champ Renan Barao at UFC 149 in July.
Menjivar (25-9), on the other hand, is coming off a first round, submission win over Azamat Gashimov at UFC 154 last month.
The Benavidez-McCall flyweight fight will be part of the February 2nd, UFC 156 card in Las Vegas according to a report from MMA Weekly.
Benavidez (16-3) will be competing for the first time since he dropped a split decision loss to champion Demetrious Johnson in September.
McCall (11-3) is also coming off decision loss to Johnson, which took place at UFC 152 in September.
UFC 156 will be hosted by the Mandalay Bay Events Center.
