The Ultimate Fighting Championship is continuing to build its upcoming October 5th, FX card in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and reportedly the event will feature a lightweight tilt between Yves Edwards and Jeremy Stephens.

The veteran lightweights and noted strikers have verbally agreed to fight at the event, according to a report from MMA Weekly.com.

Edwards (41-18) is returning from a bicep injury that pulled him from a scheduled bout with Donald Cerrone earlier this year. The veteran hasn’t fought since last December, when he dropped a unanimous decision loss to Tony Ferguson, after stopping Rafaello Oliveira in October.

Stephens (20-8) is looking to rebound from back-to-back losses to Cerrone and Anthony Pettis, after scoring a unanimous decision win over Danny Downes last June.

The upcoming UFC on FX 5 card will be hosted by the Target Center in Minneapolis and will also feature a heavyweight bout between Travis Browne and Antonio Silva.
