Report: White Confirms Zingano to Face Rousey-Tate Winner

Cat Zingano

By FCF Staff

After Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate fight tonight at UFC 168, the promotion’s president Dana White has reportedly confirmed that Cat Zingano will face the winner in 2014.

Zingano stopped Tate at the TUF 17 Finale in April, and was set to coach opposite Rousey on TUF 18, but reconstructive knee surgery forced her to the sidelines. In a recent report from MMA Junkie.com, White relayed that Zingano remains the number one contender, and that if she stays healthy, she’ll fight for the title next.

Rousey and Tate are competing for the second time tonight, as Rousey submitted the latter in March, 2012, to become Strikeforce champion.

UFC 168 will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
