Report: WSOF Extends Contract With Marlon Moraes

Moraes kicking Hempleman

Bantamweight Targeted for October Show

By FCF Staff

It hasn’t taken Marlon Moraes long to become of one World Series of Fighting’s fastest rising names, thanks to three consecutive wins with the promotion, and it’s apparently rewarded the bantamweight as a result.

The 25 year-old fighter, who has scored wins over Miguel Torres, Tyson Nam and most recently Brandon Hempleman with WSOF, has reportedly inked a contract extension. News of the deal is being reported by MMA Junkie.com, however, to terms of the deal or its length have been disclosed.

The report furthers that Moraes (11-4-1) is expected to fight Carson Beebe (14-2) at WSOF 6 on October 26th, however, the promotion has not confirmed the bout. Coral Gables, Florida is believed to be the card’s location.

Moraes is currently riding a five fight win streak and hasn’t lost since 2011, when he was submitted by Deividas Taurosevicius while competing for Ring of Combat.
