Report: Zach Makovsky And Josh Sampo Have Agreed to Fight

Makovsky

By FCF Staff

It looks as though UFC 170 has picked up an eleventh bout, as flyweights Zach Makovsky and Josh Sampo have reportedly agreed to fight at the February 22nd card. The event will go down at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

UFC officials have not announced the fight, however, according to a report from FOX Sports.com the two have verbally agreed to square off.

Makovsky (17-4) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Scott Jorgensen at UFC on FOX 9, which was his Octagon debut. The former Bellator bantamweight champ has won three in a row.

Sampo (11-2) has won five straight and made his UFC debut last month at the TUF 18 Finale, when he tapped out Ryan Benoit. The bout won “Fight of the Night” honors, however,  Sampo had missed weight for the scrap and his award money went to Benoit.

UFC 170 will be headlined by a bantamweight title fight between Ronda Rousey and Sarah McMann.
