Donald Cerrone will reportedly still compete at UFC 205, as Kelvin Gastelum has agreed to step in for Robbie Lawler at the November 12th event.

Cerrone was originally expected to face Lawler at the New York City card. But Lawler apparently decided he needed more time to prepare for his next bout, following his KO loss to Tyron Woodley in July.

News of the Cerrone – Gastelum match-up was originally reported by ESPN’s Brett Okamoto.

Cerrone (31-7) has won three straight fights while competing at 170, after he was stopped by former lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos in December.

Gastelum (12-2) decisioned Johny Hendricks in his last bout this past July, after he lost to Neil Magny via split decision in November. The former TUF winner was originally scheduled to fight Jorge Masvidal on November 5th.

UFC 205 will be hosted by NYC’s iconic Madison Square Garden.
