Jeff Curran may have had to withdraw from an opportunity to fight for Resurrection Fighting Alliance’s flyweight belt in June, but now the UFC vet will battle Pedro Munhoz for the promotion’s vacant bantamweight title on August 16th. Munhoz was scheduled to fight Keoni Koch at the event, but a hand injury has forced the bantamweight to withdraw.

Curran (34-15-1) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Joshua Killion at an Extreme Challenge event in May, after dropping bouts to Johnny Eduardo and Scott Jorgensen in the UFC.

Munhoz (8-0) is riding an eight fight win streak heading into the fight and scored a submission win over Mitch Jackson in his last outing at RFA 8 in June.
