The Ultimate Fighting Championship continues to round out its year ending, December 29th card in Las Vegas, as the promotion has announced Ricardo Lamas will take on Erik Koch and Eddie Wineland will fight Brad Pickett on that date.

Koch (13-1) had been set to fight featherweight champ Jose Aldo at UFC 153 earlier this month, but an injury pulled the rising fighter from the card. The Roufusport fighter hasn’t fought since last September when he scored a unanimous decision win over Jonathan Brookins.

Lamas (12-2) worked his way to a unanimous decision victory over Hatsu Hioki in June to firmly place himself in the title shot mix. The UFC’s announcement states that the winner of the Koch, Lamas fight could earn the number one contender spot.

Wineland (19-8) is coming off a memorable second round, knockout of Scott Jorgensen in June to rebound from losses to Urijah Faber and Joseph Benavidez.

Pickett (22-6) also recorded a highlight stoppage in his last performance, as the bantamweight KO’d Yves Jabouin in the first round at a UFC on FUEL event in September.

UFC 155 is expected to be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena and will feature heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos taking on Cain Velasquez.
