If the UFC comes calling on Robert Whittaker to face Gegard Mouasis next, the rising middleweight says he’d be more than willing to take the bout.

Whittaker took out Derek Brunson this past weekend at UFC Fight Night 101, and in doing so, likely secured a fight with a top five ranked, middleweight. Following the win, Whittaker was asked if he’d be interested in facing the #5 positioned Mousasi next, and “The Reaper” stated (quote via MMA Junkie.com):

“He’s a top athlete, he’s a top fighter, and he’s a cool dude,” Whittaker said about Mousasi. “If that’s a fight the UFC wants, that’s a fight they’ll get.”

“I just want to move up. I want to take these hard fights, and fight these tough dudes and eventually fight for the belt. If I’m healthy and I’m ready, I’ll fight anywhere, any time.”

With the win over Brunson, Whittaker moved his winning streak to six and his overall record to 17-4.
