Sara McMann Fighting Liz Carmouche in Strikeforce Debut

Strikeforce has officially added a bout between newly signed Sara McMann and Liz Carmouche to the line-up of the promotion’s upcoming November 3rd event in Oklahomha City.

The bantamweight fight will mark the Strikeforce debut of the undefeated McMann (6-0). Most recently, the former Olympic wrestling silver medalist  scored a unanimous decision win over Shayna Bazler, will competing for Invicta FC in July.

Carmouche (7-2) returns to Strikeforce having won back-to-back bouts over Ashleigh Curry and Kaitlin Young under the Invicta FC banner. Carmouche’s only losses to date came against former Strikeforce champions Sarah Kaufman and Marloes Coenen.

The upcoming card will be broadcast on Showtime and will be hosted by the Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Recently it was widely reported that the card has lost main event competitor Frank Mir to a knee injury. The former UFC champ was scheduled to fight rising heavyweight Daniel Cormier.
