Sarah Kaufman: “Someone Saying They’re Going To Get A Title Shot Because They’re Pretty Is Atrocious; I’m Going To Batter Miesha Like I Did Last Time.”

Former Strikeforce women’s 135 pound champion Sarah Kaufman talks with Full Contact Fighter correspondent Scott Corl about the recent, controversial statements made by Strikeforce women’s champ Miesha Tate and unbeaten Ronda Rousey about the correlation between a female fighter’s looks and her marketability.

Last week, Tate and Rousey both claimed that female fighters who are attractive are more marketable than those who are not attractive, despite their level of talent. Kaufman also discusses her stance on Rousey’s challenge to her and the caliber of opponents Rousey has faced thus far.

Kaufman talks about a looming rematch with Tate, whom Kaufman defeated by way of unanimous decision on May 15, 2009; the overall depth of the women’s field and the UFC’s unwillingness to commit to building a women’s division, thus far.
