Shark Fights Confirms Hague vs. Lashley Not Signed, Talks Ongoing With Several Fighters

Lashley

By FCF Staff

Since reports surfaced earlier today that Tim Hague has agreed to fight Bobby Lashley at Shark Fights 21 on November 11th, both Hague and the promotion have now confirmed that the fight is not signed.

FCF caught up with Hague after MMA announcer Mauro Ranallo tweeted that the bout was not official, and the heavyweight confirmed that he was willing to fight Lashley, but that terms had not been reached. Shark Fights executive Wes Nolen then confirmed to FCF that although the promotion has been in talks with Hague’s camp, the fight is indeed not signed.

Nolen also reported that Hague is among several opponents being considered as the replacement for heavyweight champion Darrill Schoonover, who was originally scheduled to face Lashley, but was forced to withdraw from the card due to a shoulder injury.

Nolen also added that he was unaware of any announcement from Shark Fights’ Twitter account stating that Lashley versus Hague had been set for November 11th. The upcoming card will take place in Lubbock, Texas.

Stay tuned to FCF for more details as they develop.
