Bellator will hold its second ever, pay-per-view event at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on June 24th. According to reports, a light-heavyweight bout between Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei  Silva will headline the card, while a heavyweight fight between Fedor Emelianenko and Matt Mitrione will serve as the co-headliner.

News of the Sonnen – Silva fight was reported by Associated Press, and the Emelianenko – Mitrione bout was reported by the New York Post.

Sonnen and Silva were expected to fight in 2014, under the UFC’s banner, but the fight was cancelled after Silva failed to submit to a drug test, and Sonnen then later tested positive for banned substances.

Emelianenko and Mitrione, meanwhile, were booked to fight last month, the latter had to withdraw due to kidney stones.
