Takanori Gomi will be looking to end a four fight losing streak tonight at UFC Fight Night 117, and the Japanese star’s reporting he feels refreshed and motivated, as he gets set to do so.

Gomi (35-13) will take on “Maestro” Dong Hyun Kim (14-8-3) at today’s event, which will take place at the Saitaima Super Arena. Recently the former PRIDE champion had this to say about his mindset, as he prepares to fight the South Korean fighter (quote via UFC.com):

“I hope to show the audience a more exciting fight than the one against Vallie-Flagg,” Gomi said, while referring to his thrilling, 2014 win over Vallie-Flagg . “I recently relocated my gym and that makes me feel refreshed. I am very motivated for the upcoming fight.”

“I feel at home whenever I fight in Saitama,” added Gomi. “This is rare chance for me to fight in front of a home crowd, so I hope to show them a blast.”

Kim, meanwhile, is coming off a decision win over Brendan O’Reilly, which took place last December.
