The New Ufc Comes To New York
THE NEW UFC COMES TO NEW YORK
By Joel Gold
As I drove up Broadway to the point where it intersects with Amsterdam Avenue on the upper west side of Manhattan, I came across a sight never seen before, by my eyes or other’s…UFC posters featuring Tito Ortiz lined the streets of the trendy west side. I was making my way to the "new" UFC’s first fighter press conference at Time Out, a sports bar that shows UFC Pay-Per-View events to the unfortunate cable subscribers that don’t otherwise get to see the event.
Food, drink and even press kits followed as I made my way past the press and fans that came to hear what the combatants had to say about their upcoming bouts this Friday in Atlantic City. The two title matches were showcased at the conference…Tito Ortiz will be defending his Middleweight Title against challenger Evan Tanner;"The Pulverizer"
Evan Tanner when asked about striking the body of Ortiz–as he did in his last bout against Lance Gibson with great success…
KEEP CHECKING BACK ALL WEEK AS WE WILL HAVE UPDATES EACH DAY LEADING UP TO FIGHT DAY.
