Tim Hague, Alvin Robinson Winners at Aggression 8, Dave Hulett Upsets Ryan Ford

By FCF Staff

Noted Canadian prospect and Bellator bound welterweight Ryan Ford was upset by Dave Hulett last night at Aggression MMA 8 in Edmonton, Alberta, as the veteran submitted Ford with a first round, guillotine choke.

Ford (16-4) had won four straight bouts heading into the contest, a run which included a stoppage win (via cut) over Karo Pariysan in May. Hulett improved his record to 18-9 with the win and the Vegas fighter has now gone 4-1 in his last five fights.

UFC vet Alvin Robinson (12-6) took home the promotion’s featherweight title, as the BJJ black belt tapped out Adam Lorenz (5-2) with a rear-naked-choke in the opening round.

And in another tilt featuring a former Octagon competitor, Tim Hague (13-5) also recorded a victory via submission, as the Edmonton heavyweight stopped Vince Lucero (20-22-1) in the opening frame with a guillotine choke.

The fight marked the first time Hague has fought since the UFC’s second “Fight for the Troops” card in January, when he was TKO’d by Matt Mitrione.
