The heavyweight matchup between former UFC champion Tim Sylvia and former Strikeforce World Grand Prix Heavyweight Tournament participant Brett “Da Grim” Rogers has been scratched from DREAM’s highly-anticipated  event in Saitama, Japan on New Year’s Eve and will be re-scheduled for sometime during the first quarter of 2012, according to a source close to the annual year-end event.

According to the source, Rogers’ camp experienced an issue acquiring a visa in time for to travel to Japan for the fight, thus requiring the bout to be postponed.

The event, which will air on HDNet from Saitama Super Arena, will be headlined by a matchup between all-time great Fedor Emelianenko and Olympic Judo Gold Medalist Satoshi Ishii.  In other featured action on the card, Shinya Aoki and Satoru Kitaoka will collide in a lightweight contest and Tatsuya Kawajiri and Kazuyuki Miyata will face off in a featherweight bout.
