Tony Ferguson wants more money to be put on the table before he agrees to fight Khabib Nurmagmedov, and despite a recent offer from the latter, “El Cucuy” wants the cash to come from the UFC.

Recently Nurmagmedov tweeted out that he’s willing to give Ferguson $200,000 of his own money, if it means the lightweight contender will agree to fight. The UFC has been trying to book a bout between the two, but Ferguson has been holding out for more money.

Recently Ferguson appeared on “The MMA Hour”, and while discussing the situation, the 32 year-old argued he’s “outperformed” his current deal. Ferguson, who is riding a nine fight winning streak, also noted that the UFC has a “history” of changing the compensation a fighter is going to make for a certain fight.

And, while discussing Nurmagomedov’s offer to give him $200K, Ferguson stated (quote via MMA Fighting):

“But for right now, I’m enjoying my time. The fans, you guys need to get anxious, man. Let’s get some chatter going. Let’s get the UFC involved with this. If you’ve got Khabib willing to sacrifice his life and give me $200,000 of his own money, something’s wrong with that sh*t. I’m not going to take that guy’s money. He’s got a family too. So do I, and he’s got bills to pay. So I’m not going after Khabib’s. All I want is my stuff right and to be compensated for what my numbers prove to be, so let’s go kids…”

Most recently in November, Ferguson scored a unanimous decision win over former champ Rafael dos Anjos.
