TUF “Smashes” runner up Colin Fletcher has announced via Twitter that he has been cut by the UFC, following his unanimous decision loss to Mike Ricci at UFC 158 last month. The British fighter, who also goes by “Freakshow,” posted:

Is it just me or does cut after 1 official UFC fight seam a little harsh I know I didn’t perform my best ! Neva mind

Prior to fighting Ricci, Fletcher (8-3) advanced to the finals of the TUF “Smashes” competition, and lost by unanimous decision to Norman Parke in December. Unlike his other TUF fights, the loss to Parke did count on his official record.

The Sunderland lightweight earned a spot on the TUF show, which featured teams from Britain and Australia, armed with a four fight win streak.
