TUF 17 Tryouts Start September 17th, Open to Middleweights and Light-Heavyweights

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has announced that the try-outs for the next run of “The Ultimate Fighter” television series will begin September 17th, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 17th edition of the show will feature competitors from the middleweight and light-heavyweight division.

All  candidates must be at least 21 years old, have a minimum of three professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fights – and possess a winning record. The try-outs will be hosted by the Palace Station Hotel & Casino.

TUF 16, which features welterweight fighters and is coached by UFC heavyweights Shane Carwin and Roy Nelson, will debut September 14th on FX.
