Will Brooks will make his Octagon debut on Friday night against Ross Pearson, and the former Bellator champ’s telling UFC fans they’ll see a fighter similar to Georges St-Pierre.

Brooks will take on lightweight vet Ross Pearson at the TUF 23 Finale on Friday night, after he and Bellator parted ways several weeks ago. While taking to UFC.com recently about the upcoming fight, and what UFC fans can expect to see, Brooks relayed the following:

“What they’re going to see is a reincarnation of a guy like Georges St-Pierre,” Brooks said. “They’re going to see a guy that’s cerebral, and I’m a cerebral assassin. A lot of guys are just looking for a finish or a big knockout or submission. I’m looking to take you apart and beat you in every aspect of mixed martial arts with my athleticism, my explosiveness, my strength, my mentality and my approach to mixed martial arts. So when people watch me Friday against Ross Pearson, they’re going to see what the core of mixed martial arts is all about and what happens when you put that into a guy that’s just a natural born athlete. That’s what I’m going to put on display for everyone.”

Brooks (17-1) is riding an eight fight winning streak heading into the bout. Pearson (19-10), meanwhile, is coming off a split decision win over Chad Laprise and is 3-2 in his last 5 bouts.

The TUF 23 Finale will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada.
