TUF Nations Finale: Amanda Nunes to Battle Sarah Kaufman

Former Strikeforce women's champion Sarah Kaufman

By FCF Staff

After Sarah Kaufman and Amanda Nunes have lost scheduled bouts due to injured opponents, the UFC has announced they will fight each other April 16th.

The bantamweight bout will be part of the TUF Nations: Canada vs. Australia Finale, which will be hosted by Quebec City’s Colisee Pepsi.

Kaufman was originally scheduled to fight Shayna Baszler April 16th, while Nunes had been set to fight Alexis Dufresne at UFC on FOX 11, April 19th.

Nunes (9-3) is coming off stoppage wins over Sheila Gaff and Germaine de Randamie, since joining the UFC.

Kaufman (16-2), meanwhile, is coming off a no decision versus Jessica Eye in October, after the latter tested positive for marijuana following the event. Eye initially won the fight via split decision.

The TUF Nations Finale will feature Michael Bisping taking on fellow middleweight contender Tim Kennedy in the main event.
