David Branch has announced that he’s vacated World Series of Fighting’s middleweight and light-heavyweight belts, and that he’s entered free agency.

The 35 year-old relayed on Twitter recently that he’s been at odds with the promotion. Branch appeared on “The MMA Hour” on Monday, and the 20-3 fighter reported this (quote via MMA Fighting):

“I’m no longer a part of the company because it’s just time for me to grow,” he said. “It’s time for me go and just do bigger things. It’s time for me to have bigger challenges for myself, there’s no more challenges left for me with WSOF. I’ve just accomplished everything that there is for me to do there. It just comes time for an athlete to move on, and I think that this is my time right now.”

Branch did not go into details, in terms of the issues he recently cited with WSOF. The promotion’s president Ray Sefo confirmed Branch is no longer under contract with WSOF, and wished him luck in the aforementioned story.

In December, Branch submitted Louis Taylor in the fifth round.
