Tyron Woodley Believes Next Opponent Will be Winner of Bisping – GSP

Tyron Woodley

By FCF Staff

Tyron Woodley has been repeatedly called out by Colby Covington, and Dana White’s also said that the winner of Rafael dos Anjos – Robbie Lawler, will receive a title shot. But, according to the welterweight champ, he believes his next bout will be against whoever takes the headliner for UFC 217.

On Saturday, Georges St-Pierre will make his long awaited return and he’ll challenge Bisping for the the middleweight title. During a recent episode of the Anik and Florian podcast, Woodley had this to say about the contest, and his next bout (quote via Bloody Elbow):

“I think my next opponent is going to be the winner of Bisping and Georges St-Pierre,” Woodley said. “I think that’s my next fight. Victorious in that fight, I think you see me move up to a different weight class.”

In recent months, Woodley has expressed an interest in fighting both St-Pierre and Bisping, but the champion was booked to fight Demian Maia in July. Woodley won the contest via decision, but the decorated wrestler also injured his shoulder in the fight.

RDA will face Lawler at UFC on FOX 26, December 16th.
