After Tyrone Spong was forced to withdraw from the upcoming June 14th, World Series of Fighting card in Las Vegas, due to visa issues, the renowned striker will reportedly fight at the promotion’s August 10th card. WSOF President Ray Sefo confirmed during a media call today that the light-heavyweight will compete at the event.

Spong, however, will have to emerge from the June 22nd GLORY 9 kickboxing card in New York unscathed. The tourney, which will be hosted by NYC’s Hammerstein Ballroom, will feature  Brian Collette, Dustin Jacoby, Danyo Ilunga, Filip Verlinden, Mourad Bouzidi, Steve McKinnon and Michael Duut.

Spong scored a first round, KO win over Travis Bartlett at WSOF 1 last November. The bout marked his MMA debut.

The kickboxing vet was scheduled to fight Angel DeAnda at WSOF 3, and Sefo relayed that the promotion will try to rebook the bout for August 10th.

WSOF 4 will take place in Ontario, California.
