After coming up short in his bid for the UFC interim bantamweight belt, Urijah Faber has released an X-Ray of a broken rib he incurred during his unanimous decision loss Saturday to Renan Barao.

The former WEC featherweight champ tweeted about the picture:

Congrats 2 @RenanBaraoUFC. He’s a tough dude. Broke my rib in the 1st with a great knee. Thank u 4 all the support

With the win, not only did Barao (29-1) lay claim to the interim belt, but the 25 year-old Nova Uniao extended his undefeated streak to an awe inspiring 29 fights.

The loss was the 33 year-old Faber’s (26-6) second in his last five bouts, and followed a second round submission win he scored over Brian Bowles in November.

The interim title fight headlined this past Saturday’s UFC 149 card in Calgary, Alberta.
