UFC 152: Jon Jones Taps Out Game Vitor Belfort

UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones

By FCF Staff

Jon Jones powered his way through a fight threatening, armbar attempt from Vitor Belfort, to score a submission win over the resilient veteran tonight at UFC 152.

Early on, Belfort appeared to extend the right arm of the light-heavyweight-champ with an armbar attempt from guard, but Jones refused to tap and worked his way through the submission attempt.

As the fight wore on, Jones began to pick Belfort apart with precise kicks and ground-and-pound strikes, before tapping the game vet out with a fourth round Americana lock.

In the card’s other title fight, Demetrious Johnson became the first UFC Flyweight Champion by working his way to a split decision in over Joseph Benavidez.
