The UFC has announced that a welterweight bout between Nick Catone and James Head has been cut from tonight’s UFC 159 card, as Catone was reportedly hospitalized for dehydration.

Cate failed to make weight yesterday in Newark, New Jersey, as the former middleweight came in at 173 pounds for the bout. The fighter was fined  20 percent of his purse for the infraction, however, after he required medical attention the fight was cancelled.

Catone (9-4) is coming off losses to TJ Waldburger and Chris Camozzi, and the 31 year-old fighter is 2-3 in his last five bouts.

Head (9-3) was looking to bounce back from a TKO loss to Mike Pyle in December, after earning victories over Papy Abedi and Brian Ebersole.

UFC 159 will be hosted by the Prudential Center and will feature light-heavyweight champ Jon Jones taking on Chael Sonnen in the main event.
