UFC 166: Charles Oliveira Moved Into Bout With Jeremy Larsen

Oliveira

By FCF Staff

The UFC has been forced to do some shuffling to the line-up for its October 19th card in Houston, and as a result, Jeremy Larsen will now fight featherweight Charles Oliveira at the event.

Larsen was originally scheduled to fight Matt Grice at UFC 166, however, the veteran was seriously injured in a car accident recently and will not compete. Larsen (8-4) is looking to rebound from back-to-back stoppage losses to Joe Proctor and Lucas Martins after competing on TUF 15.

Oliveira (16-4) was initially booked to fight Estevan Payan on October 19th, but the UFC has announced the latter has also withdrawn. Oliveira is coming off a KO defeat to Cub Swanson and a unanimous decision loss to Frankie Edgar at UFC 162, after defeating Eric Wisely and Jonathan Brookins.

UFC 166 will be hosted by Houston’s Toyota Centre and will feature heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez fighting Junior dos Santos in a rubber match. The main card will be available via pay-per-view.
