After the UFC confirmed several other bouts for its upcoming schedule Thursday, the promotion has announced that UFC on FOX 9 winners Bobby Green and Abel Trujillo have agreed to fight February 1st. The lightweight bout will be part of UFC 169, which will be hosted by the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Green (22-5) worked his way to a unanimous decision win over Pat Healy on December 14th, which was the Strikeforce vet’s third straight win in the UFC.

Trujillo (11-5, 1 no contest) stopped Roger Bowling in the second round that same night. The two also fought at UFC FN 27 in August, however, the bout was ruled a no contest. Bowling could not continue due to what was ruled as an illegal knee.

Prior to his fights with Bowling, Trujillo was handed a unanimous decision loss by Khabib Nurmagomedov in May.

UFC 169 will feature bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz taking on interim champ Renan Barao, and featherweight champ Jose Aldo versus Ricardo Lamas.
