Joe Ellenberger won’t be the only family member fighting on the April 26th, UFC 172 card in Baltimore, as the promotion has announced he’ll make his Octagon debut that night versus Yancy Medeiros.  Ellenberger’s brother Jake is also scheduled to battle fellow welterweight contender Tarec Saffiedine at the event.

Ellenberger (14-1) heads to the UFC having won consecutive bouts over Jesse Zeugin and Joe Wilk. The only man to defeat the 28 year-old lightweight to date is UFC vet Justin Salas.

Medeiros (10-1) is coming off an impressive KO win over Yves Edwards in November, after suffering a thumb injury in his Octagon debut last April, and picking up a TKO loss to Rustam Khabiliov.

UFC 172 will be hosted by the Baltimore Arena, and will feature light-heavyweight champ Jon Jones taking on Glover Teixeira in the main event.
