Dan Henderson may have one of the more decorated resumes in MMA history, but on Saturday night, the 43 year-old wonder will be the consensus underdog versus Daniel Cormier.

Although the betting lines don’t believe Henderson will end Cormier’s 14 fight win streak at UFC 173, not surprisingly, the former PRIDE champ isn’t questioning his abilities.

While speaking to UFC.com recently, here is some of what Henderson had to say about Saturday’s bout with Cormier.

“I don’t ever overlook or doubt myself,” Henderson said. “But people tend to do that to me and I think this is going to be one of those prime examples where I prove people wrong.”

Henderson (30-11) is coming off a third round, stoppage win over “Shogun” Rua in March, which ended his three fight losing streak.

Cormier (14-0), meanwhile, will be looking to build on his quick TKO win over Patrick Cummins, which marked the decorated wrestler’s light-heavyweight debut.

UFC 173 will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
