After having his UFC 173 bout stopped at the opening round bell, Jamie Varner is reporting that he suffered two broken bones and torn ligaments in his defeat to James Krause.

The lightweight vet, and former WEC champ, tweeted the following after the loss:

Two fractured bones and torn ligaments! I have to see a specialist next week. Thanks for the support!

Varner didn’t specify which bones and ligaments he injured, but a follow up report from MMA Junkie.com says all of the injuries are to the fighter’s foot.

The Arizona fighter has lost three straight bouts since he scored a split decision win over Melvin Guillard in December, 2012.
