UFC 173 has six bouts confirmed, as the promotion has announced that Michael Chiesa will fight lightweight Francisco Trinaldo at the May 24th card.

Chiesa (10-1) will be looking to build on the submission win he scored over Colton Smith in November, after he was tapped out by Jorge Masvidal at UFC on FOX 8 in July. The TUF 15 winner has gone 3-1 to date in official UFC action.

Trinaldo (14-3) is coming off a split decision win over Jesse Ronson at UFC FN 36 last month, after a submission loss to Piotr Hallmann in September. The lightweight has gone 4-2 in the Octagon.

UFC 173 will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena, and will feature middleweight champ Chris Weidman taking on Lyoto Machida.
