Due to Renan Barao’s 33 fight undefeated streak, and his status as one of the planet’s best pound-for-pound fighters, TJ Dillashaw is a considerable underdog tonight at UFC 173. That doesn’t mean, however, Dillashaw doesn’t like his chances to become bantamweight champ.

Dillashaw, who has gone 9-2 to date, recently had this to say about Barao and his abilities (quote via UFC.com):

“Renan Barao is a very great champion – he’s on an insane win streak and he brings his A-game to the table every single time he fights, so it’s going to be an insane challenge to beat the guy.”

“I just have to show up and be as good as I know I am,” the 28 year-old added. “To me, the sky’s the limit. I can beat this guy. There is nothing super-special about him. I feel like I’m just as good as he is and I just have to show up with my A-game.”

UFC 173 will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
