UFC 176 has picked up a notable flyweight tilt, as the promotion has announced that #6 ranked Jussier “Formiga” da Silva will battle #9 positioned Zach Makovsky at the August 2nd card.

UFC 176 will be hosted by the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, and will feature featherweight champ Jose Aldo taking on Chad Mendes.

“Formiga” (16-3) is coming off a submission win over Scott Jorgensen in March, after being stopped by Joseph Benavidez last September. The renowned grappler has gone 2-2 in the Octagon to date.

Makovsky (18-4) has scored wins over Jorgensen and Josh Sampo since joining the UFC, and the former Bellator champ has won four straight.
